Normally when you buy stocks, you pay a commission fee for each trade.  Not so with Zecco.  As long as you have at least $2500 invested with them, you get your first 10 trades per month for free.  If you’re a trade-a-holic, then you will pay $4.50 after the 10th trade.  For most smart investors ( that would be you – you’re reading Llama Money after all ), 10 trades per month is far more than enough to cover regular trading activity.

Once i have a little more "play" investing money, I think I’ll have to open up a Zecco account.  Commission fees are one of the main reasons that I haven’t yet dabbled in individual stocks or ETF’s.  I don’t yet have an extra $2500 that I’m willing to risk and possibly lose, so I’ll have to hold off for awhile.  Here’s hoping the free trades don’t go away anytime soon.
