That pretty much covers it. I’m trying to gather up all the paperwork I’ll need to do my taxes this year. Most likely I’ll be paying someone for that honor, but they’ll still need all the paperwork. I’ve done a horrible job of keeping everything this year, and it’s going to bite me in the butt.
Running a small business and poor organization do not go well together, especially at tax time. Note to self: Keep better records in 2008.

I received my year end bonus check a few days ago. It’s official. Taxes ARE evil.
As far as preparing, I use TaxCut and do my taxes myself. It’s pretty thorough and is supposed to be the same software that H&R Block uses.

Traditionally I’ve used Tax Slayer which has worked well for me. But this year with the house, and a full year of business expenses…. I may be giving all my records & receipts to a professional. Paying to have my taxes done is even more evil!
