Silver Unstoppable?
Nothing can increase in price forever without some corrections along the way. One has to wonder if that day of correction is coming for Silver. After all, the spot price of silver sits at $18.71 per ounce as of right now – that’s up from as low as $11.75 per ounce in August of 2007. For those keeping track, that’s a 59% increase in price in six short months.
How much higher can it go?
With such an amazing run these last months, at what point does it top out and come back down to earth? I’m not convinced that this is the top, or even near it really. With the US dollar in the toilet ( still ), precious metals are in demand, at least for investors looking to safeguard their funds. I wouldn’t be surprised to see $20 per ounce silver by March, and even $25 by the end of the year. Only time will tell if I’m target or way, way off base.
Either way, the Silver Eagle coins I purchased look like a better deal every day. If I come across another deal like that, I’d be happy to pick up another set. In fact, I’d probably order a couple dozen if they allowed it.
