Buddy it sounds like your situation is a rough one, but really only temporary.  Shrinking equity isn&#039;t fun by any stretch, but it&#039;s something that *will* right itself, given enough time.  I suggest just being patient, keeping yourself out of debt ( good job with that so far ), and keep socking cash away.  Patience is the key to your situation.</description>

		<description>I enjoyed reading your post. I feel as if I am heading down the road to financial ruin myself. I have no real debt but my equity is shrinking rapidly in the current market meltdown due to things like Opes Prime. To be honest, no one really knows so I have no one to talk to - I feel embarrased about it and hope I will pull through. I am relatively young and although starting again from the start will not kill me, up until this moment in time I have always saved every cent to try to pave my way for the future. So this is kind of an unexpected turn for me.
