I own a small side business that earns a little money for me on the side.  I couldn’t quit my day job with it ( at least not yet, anyway ) but it’s a nice supplement to my regular income.  One of my tools is the small business credit card you see to the left – American Express Simply Cash.  I don’t even use any of my other credit cards for business expenses anymore.  This is my favorite business credit card without question, and without compare.  Why, you ask?  Here are some of the best features:

• 5% cash back on gas, wireless phone bills, and office supplies
• 1% cash back on anything not in the first category
• No limit to rewards that can be earned
• Rewards automatically credit to statement monthly
• No annual fee
• 0% APR for the first 12 months

I didn’t take advantage of the 0% APR for 12 months, but that’s mostly because I don’t want to fall into a debt trap where I can’t pay things off.  Besides, I don’t have very many huge expenses with my business that would really benefit from 0%.

Probably my favorite thing about the rewards program is the fact that the reward is cash, its’ credited monthly, and it gets taken right off my statement.  I don’t have to fuss with saving up points and redeeming them, or waiting for a yearly rebate.  I save money every single month just by using this card.
